First 5 Contra Costa Children and Families Commission for the Family- Friendly Community Grant in 2008, 2009 and in 2010.  Read A Story will participate in the El Sobrante Stroll on September 19, 2010 where parents and children 0-5 will receive free picture books and information about the benefits of reading to their children.

Target for their support for the Every Child Gets a Book - Fall 2010. The Target grant will be used to purchase books for young children at preschools, elementary schools and Bay Area Rescue Mission. 

The volunteers who have read to the children in the preschools and kindergarten classes.  Read A Story truly appreciates your gift of time and dedication to reading to children.
