First 5 Contra Costa Children and Families Commission for the Family- Friendly Community Grant in 2008, 2009 and in 2010. Read A Story will participate in the El Sobrante Stroll on September 19, 2010 where parents and children 0-5 will receive free picture books and information about the benefits of reading to their children.

Target for their support for the Every Child Gets a Book - Fall 2010. The Target grant will be used to purchase books for young children at preschools, elementary schools and Bay Area Rescue Mission.
